From the day we got married, Tim has always been very attentive to my physical needs and careful to see that I am safe and cared for. Shortly after our wedding, he handed me a AAA card in case I ever had an emergency. I've always had a card, but until today I had never needed it. Actually, today I didn't either. The past few days Tim has been working long hours quite a distance away, but today he was in town.
I was driving down I-65 when I felt something hit the front of my car quite hard. I continued to drive, trying to notice if anything felt weird or funny, but the car felt and sounded normal. When I got off at route 30 and began heading west, I heard a loud, obnoxious sound and the car became difficult to drive. I knew I needed to pull over right away, and believe it or not, a gas station was right there.
I instantly called Tim, and he informed me that he was driving my way to pick up his cell phone that was presently being fixed. I told him that I had a flat tire. Boy, was he gracious! "Looks like I'm your AAA man. I'll be right there."
I couldn't help but think that if I had to have a flat tire, it couldn't have happened at a better time. Tim was in town, already headed my way, and it happened when I was right by the gas station and not on the express way. I praise the Lord that it all went so smoothly, and I praise the Lord for such a good looking AAA man!
By the way, we all got a tire changing lesson tonight. Our kids had a ball!
