I have probably played this song 30 times in the past few days, ever since Alissa found a CD lying around the house that had this song on it. Tim, the kids, and I sang it on the way to church last night. I am constantly typing up words to songs that I like, and we are teaching them to the kids. Here goes.
For making the sun to shine, putting the stars in the sky.
For the flowers that bloom, the ocean so blue,
Thank you, Lord.
For every sparrow that sings and makes sweet melody.
For the river that flows, the rain and the snow.
Thank you, Lord.
Chorus
I just want to thank you, Lord. I just want to thank you, Lord.
For everything that you've done for me.
Thank you, Lord.
I just want to thank you, Lord. I just want to thank you, Lord.
For making me whole, saving my soul.
Thank you, Lord.
For the home and family, for the joy that you've given me.
The shoes on my feet, plenty to eat.
Thank you, Lord.
For the church where I worship and pray
For the freedom that I have today.
For your Spirit I feel, your presence so real.
Thank you, Lord.
For being a friend so dear, giving my sad heart cheer.
For holding my hand when I could not stand.
Thank you, Lord.
For giving your life for me on that cross at Calvary.
For taking my place, mercy and grace.
Thank you, Lord.
Chorus
I just want to thank you, Lord. I just want to thank you, Lord.
For everything that you've done for me,
Thank you, I just want to thank you, Lord. I just want to thank you, Lord.
For making me whole, saving my soul.
Thank you, Lord.

Lisa, I love your blog! It is fun seeing the kids and your happenings! I think of you often and pray for you. Hope you are doing well... One of these days I may just have to start a blog of my own!
ReplyDeleteI love this song by the way too! As soon as I saw the title of your blog I started singing it. Now Kirsten wants to learn it. She always wants to know every song I know:) Talk to you soon!
That sounds so familiar, but I can't place a tune in my mind. You'll have to make a video of the kids singing it and post it on here!
ReplyDeleteLove,
Trace
